these are full hanks that are sold at a discounted rate as a bundle. these colors can be found in braid form as well. floche is wonderful for smocking, hand embroidery, handsewn buttonholes, cutwork, and it particularly takes the cake for shadow work embroidery. find more information here.
these are the full hanks (10 grams; about 150 yards), and you will have to tame them yourself. also, a full hank of floche is A LOT of material. for the average smocker/embroiderer, it'll cover a few years’ worth of projects.
